Roche Group currently has over 4,000 hectares in land holdings in ‘greenfield’ development sites, with the capability to accommodate approximately 10,000 dwellings.
Development of just one of the major land parcels would see the investment of over $3.2 billion in to that region’s economy over the life of the project and would bring 15,000 long term jobs to the area.
Land will be developed as master-planned residential communities, providing schools, shopping centres and incorporating major recreational facilities such as boat harbours and marinas, high quality golf courses, sporting fields and large parklands - making these developments attractive lifestyle destinations. Tourist accommodation and conference facilities will also be provided in developments, taking advantage of their coastal locations.
Housing choice will range from medium density living around centres, boat harbour facilities and /or golf courses to lower density residential development on the periphery of neighbourhoods. A variety of lot sizes will be available to suit a range of incomes and housing choice.
The design of the developments will adhere to principles of water sensitive urban design and integrated water cycle management will also be adopted with grey water recycling and reuse.
All residential development will meet required standards for energy efficiency and home design will be encouraged to feature elements such as natural heating and ventilation to minimise energy use. Commercial development will meet the criteria for energy efficiency in commercial buildings.
